It’s been a month since my last PAD entry. I never noticed that my photography in action is out of the blues this days. So here goes…

Tatay Abdullah – our company driver, was today’s last day to work with us. He’ll have his long awaited vacation and might not be able to join us after since he have some issues with his working visa. The other day, he told me that he’ll give me a gift. Wow! I like gifts. When I opened it, it’s a Holy Quran. So blessed to have this from a person whom I looked up to. Tatay Abdullah is a person of a few words. Everytime I get in the van and say peace, he’ll always say “Maryam, how are you my daughter?”. Me and my husband treat him as our 2nd father. Always asking for his adivice. Especially when hubby was still planning to get a car. Tatay was there when we got Angel. I will truely miss Tatay. Thanks tatay for all the advices and wisdom you shared while you were still with us. Goodluck on your endeavors.

After the long awaited photo edits, I placed my wedding ring in between the Quran and took a shot of it. Hubby adored this picture and was so proud of me – ehem! Syempre, love your own 🙂

When I was browsing thru my links, I challenged myself by answering Ms Yen’s QOTW. Visit her blog, you’ll learn a lot as in! 🙂

1. One thing you are looking forward to: sleeping beside sweetie (charot!)
2. Place you like to eat: any place for as long as there is food ready, hehehe!
3. Last thing you bought: a magenta colored shoes from Milano – forced to buy it because of ate Jee.
4. Something you hate doing everyday: cooking! waaah! it gives me headache!
5. Last thing you received in the mail: photo comments received in my friendster account.
6. Favorite thing you own: Nikknok – my Nikon D40x.
7. Who do you want to meet right now: as in now? I guess my parents… it’s been a year haven’t seen them 😦
8. A song that always gets stuck in your head: “Shakbat shakabit” – an Arabic song for kids.
9. Last athletic even you attended: my goodness! I think 5 years ago when I was still in the University.
10. Worst place to be: in between two people you hate most… yikes!

It’s our day off. Yesterday, I got home early and was able to finish my errands – i.e. laundry and cleaning. Me and hubby woke up past 2:00 pm! Sleep sleep sleep… that’s all I was really planning to do. When I was about to prepare our lunch (or shall I say merienda since it’s past the lunch time na), hubby suggested to eat out.

Yehey! We’ll go out! After cleaning the kitchen, I immediately had a quick bath and dressed up.

We went to City Center (where else?) After we ate our dinner, I noticed the Cinemas. I questioned myself, when was the last time I went out to see the movies? If I’m not mistaken, the last movie I saw was “The Lake House” – cried too much! Drama ever kasi! I checked out the movies. Though I’ve been weeping for excitement to see Judy Ann’s new movie SAKAL, SAKALI, SAKLOLO I opted to watch NATIONAL TREASURES 2 instead. Hubby assured the girl working in the Cinema if it has Arabic subtitle 😆 – scared not to understand the movie kasi.

Funny part was when I asked if there’s still an available seats at 6:30pm, the girl said “Ma’am, you’ll be the first to be there coz no one has bought a ticket for now…” – wow! Ganun ba kapangit ang pelikula ni Nicholas Cage that no one even bothers to watch it? Or it could be that this movie is not that good. Well anyway, we decide on getting the 3rd row.

When we were inside the cinema, hubby then realized that it was our first cinema date. Too bad I didn’t bring Nikknok with me. I wanted to share how big the seats where. You can even rise up your legs and feel like you’re just at home watching TV. The seats are exclusively divided to two – for lover seats daw sabi nung guide. Para rin siyang Glorietta.

How was the movie? It’s okay. I’ll give it 3 stars. It was kinda mind-numbing in the start since they were all talking about the Civil War and of course it was all about American History so everything of it was like new to me.

After the boring movie, hubby and I took home Tiramisu for our dessert. We decided to seat a while along the Corniche to eat and have a quiet time together.

Our day ended sweet. Tomorrow, work as usual. Take care people!

Yahoo Yahoo! I’m so happy and can’t wait to blog about my first ever blog award from Ms. Yen – Thanks so much po! I’m so happy kasi I know somehow I made you happy. Till next award, charot!

Would like to pass on this E Award to te Cynch, Jhellai, Melody, te Litzie (you cheer me up ate kaya I’ll give you another one) and Ceejhay 🙂

I’m a little bit scared about this free cup of coffee huh! This afternoon when I was reading mails in the shop, a guy working from Starbucks gave me this cup of hot café latte. I insist not taking it since I don’t like the looks of it. Aside from being shy (totoo yun ha!), I’m beginning to be uncomfortable with it. He told me that his supervisor gave this for me. I said that it was not that cold so I don’t need a drink, but he said it’s for free. Shucks! What to do? I accepted the coffee anyway.

I’m beginning to wonder, does his supervisor knows that I’m married? I presumed he knows about it already since a few months ago, I bought from him this best buy city mugs of Starbucks with Lebanon on it since Sweetie’s from that country. It appears that, the supervisor of Starbucks is Lebanese too – coincidence huh? Well, he has to stop this free coffee thing since I’m starting to be a little bit uncomfortable and annoyed.

I like free stuff though, who doesn’t? But free for no agreement or any malicious things ha. I hope that this will be the last coz I respect that guy so much. All of his staff said that he’s a hard working person and I can see that myself. He’s in fact not the supervisor, he’s the Area Manager. But still, he’s working the same with all the staff – uuuy! Binibida! Wag gawan ng malisya, hehehe!

Anyway, thanks again for the coffee. Next time ulit? Joke! 😆

An old friend of mine gave birth to a cute baby boy last 6th of January. They named him Rubix Manguiat-Bayla. He’s so cute! His skin are still sensitive, everything is red – except the “putotoy” hehehe! 😆

I and Ceejhay went to Kathy’s house after her work. Hubby didn’t come with us though since he needs to take Angel to have her monthly car maintenance. So he just dropped us off to Kathy’s cozy villa and fetches us up after 3 hours. Those 3 hours seems like an hour to me. I never stopped taking pictures of baby Rubix. Kuya Mitch told me that I should take 2nd career in photography since I like taking pictures – oh how I wish!

When I start to hold him, I feel so afraid. Parang di na ako sanay mag-carry ng mga infants. At the age of 7 years old, super aunt na ako. My sisters married at a young age kaya super aga din ng pagiging tita ko. I know how to hold an infant naman, but I’m comfortable kasi he’s so small that konting kilos ko lang eh feeling ko mapuputol ko mga buto nya. Hahaha! OA na kung OA, pero that’s what I actually felt when I was holding him between my arms. Probably once I have my own, the feeling will definitely different.

Here are some pictures of baby Rubix and me.

See his little eyes? At 2 weeks, babies can’t see right? But I feel like he can see us already (feeling ko lang yun actually 😆 )

Baby Rubix giving out a cute & ignorant smile. He’s a little bit sleepy during this time since his Mom dressed him up. My gosh! He hates being dressed up ha. He cried so much when Kathy was changing his diapers and his “bigkis”. If I probably in her shoes, dina ako makakagalaw sa sobrang worry – hehehe! I guess I’m not ready to be a mom, haaay!

Kindat blues! Rubix looks like his dad.

“I want one Sweetie…” pose. When hubby saw this shot, he laughed so much. But you know what, whenever I’m feeling that I want a baby of our own bigla akong umaatras especially pag labor na pinag-uusapan. Yikes! Kathy labored for only 2 hours. While they were waiting for the cab pala eh baby Rubix head is going out na. My goodness! Ayokong mangyari sa akin yun. I have the feeling that I will faint – haaay! When she arrived the ER, the doctor checked daw her cm, it was 6cm na daw. It should be 9cm (dear mommies, is this true?). So the doctor let her walk around for 2 hours, then baby Rubix came out na at a normal delivery / 6.9 pounds.

I’m leaving you with this touching picture with baby Rubix and Ninang Ceejhay. His hands are so small. Ang sarap kainin! Hahaha!

Take Care everyone and for all mommies out there, you’re all so lucky to have your little ones. Enjoy your mommy hood – next year nalang ako (duwagers mode ulit! 😆 )
